Getting There

  • Car

    From Giant's Causeway, head southwest on the A2 road towards Portstewart. Continue on the A2 for approximately 10 miles (16 km) until you reach Castlerock. Turn left onto Barmouth Road (signposted for Barmouth Bird Hide). The destination will be on your right after about 1 mile (1.6 km). There is a parking area available near the bird hide.

    From Giant's Causeway, walk to the nearest bus stop and take the bus number 172 towards Coleraine. After about 30 minutes, get off at Castlerock. From the bus stop, walk along Station Road until you reach Barmouth Road. Turn left onto Barmouth Road, and continue for about 1 mile (1.6 km) to reach the Barmouth Bird Hide.
