After approximately 15 minutes, you will reach the Lower Lake. Continue on the path that leads around the lake, keeping the water on your left. The trail will gradually incline as you approach the Upper Lake. This walk will take about 30-40 minutes and is scenic, with views of the surrounding mountains.

    If you are starting from Dublin, take a bus (Route 183) from Dublin to Glendalough. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Glendalough bus stop, follow the walking directions provided above from the Visitor Centre.

    If you are driving to Glendalough, take the N11 from Dublin, then follow the signs for R755 towards Glendalough. Upon arrival, park at the Glendalough Visitor Centre. From the Visitor Centre, follow the walking directions provided above to reach the Upper Lake.
