If you are traveling by car, start by heading south on the R756 from the center of Glendalough. Follow the signs for the Wicklow Mountains National Park. After approximately 3 kilometers, you will see a sign for the Miners Way Glendasan. Turn left onto a small road leading up towards Knockfin. Continue up this road for about 1 kilometer until you reach the parking area near the trailhead. Please note that parking may incur a small fee, typically around €5 for the day.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from the Glendalough Visitor Centre that heads towards Laragh or Glenealy. Make sure to check the latest bus schedules as they can vary. You will want to get off at the stop nearest to the R756 junction. From there, it is about a 30-minute walk along the R756 towards the Miners Way Glendasan trailhead. Follow the road signs indicating the Miners Way, and you'll eventually see the entrance to the trail on your left. Be aware that bus services may not be frequent, especially on weekends and holidays.

Walking
If you are already in Glendalough and prefer to walk, you can take a scenic route. Start from the Glendalough Visitor Centre and walk towards the upper lake. Continue along the lakeside path until you reach the end of the lake, then follow the trail signs leading up towards the Miners Way Glendasan. The walk is approximately 5 kilometers and should take around 1.5 to 2 hours, offering beautiful views of the lakes and surrounding mountains.
