From Killarney town center, Muckross House is approximately a 5.6 km walk. Follow the N71 Kenmare Road. The walk takes you through scenic sections of Killarney National Park. Several entrances along the N71 provide access to the grounds. Allow about 1 hour and 10 minutes for the walk.

From Killarney town center, take the KY03 bus towards Muckross. The bus will bring you to the Brehon Hotel, from which you will need to take a taxi to Muckross House. The bus fare is approximately €1.55. The taxi from The Brehon Hotel to Muckross House will cost approximately €15-€19.

Car
From Killarney town center, take the N71 Kenmare Road for approximately 6 km. The main vehicle entrance is located on the right, shortly past the Muckross Park Hotel. Follow the signs for Muckross House. There is no parking charge. Car park upgrade works were recently completed, creating 234 new spaces.
