Walking
From the center of Kinsale, head towards Main Street and walk west until you reach the junction with the R600 road. Turn left onto R600 and continue walking. After about 1 km, you will see a sign for Charles Fort on your right. Follow the path that leads up to the fort, which is located in Summercove.
Walking (Alternative Route)
If you're starting from the Kinsale Harbour area, walk along the waterfront towards the Old Head. As you follow the path, keep an eye out for signs directing you to Charles Fort. This route will take you through some scenic views along the harbor and eventually lead you to the entrance of the fort.
Public Transport
While there is no direct public transport to Charles Fort, you can take a local bus that runs through Kinsale. Get off at the stop nearest the R600 road and walk approximately 15 minutes to reach the fort. Make sure to check the bus schedule for availability.
