If you are starting from the city center, head towards O'Connell Street. Walk south along O'Connell Street until you reach the River Shannon. Turn left to walk along the riverfront. Continue walking until you reach the Shannon Bridge. Cross the bridge and follow the road as it curves to the right onto the Dock Road. Keep walking straight, and you will find yourself in the area of Irishtown. Look for Cathedral Place on your left. St John's Cathedral is located at Cathedral Place, Irishtown, V94 H521.

From the city center, locate the nearest bus stop and take Bus Route 302 or 304 towards 'Limerick City - Irishtown'. The journey will take approximately 10-15 minutes. After disembarking, walk towards Cathedral Place which is just a short distance away. Follow the directions to St John's Cathedral, which will be on your left.

If you are arriving at Limerick Colbert Train Station, exit the station and turn right onto the Dock Road. Walk straight until you reach the River Shannon. Then, turn left and follow the riverside path until you get to Shannon Bridge. Cross the bridge, then continue straight to the first intersection, turn left onto the road that leads to Irishtown. Continue until you reach Cathedral Place, where St John's Cathedral is located.
