From Salthill, walk to the nearest bus stop on Salthill Promenade. Take the bus route 401 towards Galway City. After approximately 10 minutes, get off at the 'Ceannt Station' stop. This is the main bus and train station in Galway.

From Ceannt Station, walk to the nearby Galway Docks, which is about a 10-minute walk. Follow the signs towards the docks or use a map app on your phone. At the docks, look for the ferry service that operates to the Aran Islands. Purchase your ticket at the ticket office and board the ferry to Inis Meain, Inis Meara or Inis Oirr, the three main islands.
