    From the center of Salthill, head southeast on Salthill Promenade. Continue along the promenade, enjoying the scenic views of the bay. After about 15 minutes of walking, you will reach the roundabout at the end of the promenade. Here, take the exit onto R336 towards Doolin. Follow this road for approximately 3 kilometers until you see a sign for Doonagore Castle. Turn right onto the local road and continue straight for another 1 kilometer. The castle will be on your left side.

    From Salthill, walk to the nearest bus stop located at the Salthill Promenade. Look for the bus service heading towards Doolin. Board the bus and stay on for about 30 minutes. You will disembark at the nearest stop to Doonagore Castle. From the bus stop, walk approximately 15 minutes, heading up the local road towards the castle. The castle will be visible from a distance as you approach.
