From the center of Salthill, head towards the coast and walk along the promenade. Enjoy the beautiful views of Galway Bay as you walk. Continue walking until you reach the end of the promenade where it meets the main road (Churchill Road). Cross over to the opposite side of the road, and you will see a bus stop. Take a bus heading towards Recess. The bus journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Get off at the Recess stop. From the bus stop, the Quiet Man Bridge is a short 5-minute walk. Head towards the direction of the bridge along the main road, and you will find the bridge on your left.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Salthill. Start your journey by cycling along the promenade, then follow the cycle path that leads to the main road. From there, you can ride towards Recess. The route is approximately 15 kilometers and will take around 1 hour to reach. Once you arrive in Recess, park your bicycle safely and take a 5-minute walk to the Quiet Man Bridge, which should be easily visible from the main road.

You can also take a bus from Salthill to Recess. Head to the nearest bus stop on the main road (near the Salthill Hotel). Check the bus schedule for routes heading towards Recess. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Recess bus stop, the Quiet Man Bridge is a short 5-minute walk. Simply head towards the main road, and the bridge will be on your left.
