From the Salthill Promenade, walk towards the main road, Salthill Road (R336). Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the Lower Salthill Road. Turn left onto Lower Salthill Road. Keep walking until you reach the end of the road, and you will see the Claddagh Basin ahead. Continue straight onto the Quay Street and follow it until you reach the pedestrian bridge. Cross the bridge and continue straight onto the Spanish Parade. At the next intersection, turn right onto St. Francis Street. The Franciscan Abbey Catholic Church will be on your left at 8 St Francis St.

From Salthill, walk to the nearest bus stop on Salthill Road. Catch the bus number 401 or 402 towards Galway City. Get off at the 'Eyre Square' stop. Once you get off, walk towards the direction of the Eyre Square shopping center, and then head onto Shop Street. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with St. Francis Street. Turn right, and the Franciscan Abbey Catholic Church will be on your left at 8 St Francis St.
