Car
If you are driving, start from the Slieve League Cliffs Visitor Centre located at 54.6125° N, 8.6297° W. Head west on the R263 road. After about 5 miles, look for a small road on the left leading down to the coast. This road is unmarked, so be careful. Drive down to the parking area near Largysillagh. From the parking area, walk approximately 1 km north along the scenic trail which will lead you to the Secret Waterfall. Keep an eye out for signs directing you toward the waterfall.
Public Transportation
To reach Secret Waterfall using public transportation, take a bus from Donegal Town to Killybegs. From Killybegs, catch a local bus towards Carrick. Get off at the Largysillagh stop. From there, follow the small country road towards the coast. It is about a 3 km walk to the Secret Waterfall, so be prepared for a hike. Ensure you check the bus schedules in advance, as they may vary throughout the week.
Walking
If you are already at the Slieve League Cliffs, you can access the Secret Waterfall by walking. Begin at the viewing point and head down the hill towards the coast, following the path that leads into the wooded area. After about 30 minutes of walking, you will arrive at a clearing where you can see the waterfall. Make sure to wear sturdy shoes, as the terrain can be uneven.
