If you are driving, begin your journey in the village of Teelin. From Teelin, take the Slieve League Avenue (R263) heading towards the cliffs. Continue on this road for about 7 kilometers. As you approach the cliffs, follow the signs for the Sliabh Liag Viewing Platform. There is a designated parking area near the viewing platform. Note that parking may incur a small fee, typically around €5 for the day.

To reach the Sliabh Liag Viewing Platform using public transport, take the bus from Donegal Town to Teelin. Check the local bus schedules, as they may vary. Once you arrive in Teelin, you can either walk or take a taxi to the Slieve League Avenue (R263) and follow the signs to the viewing platform. The walk from Teelin to the viewing platform is approximately 7 kilometers and may take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Buses typically cost around €5-€10 depending on your starting point.

If you are already in the Slieve League area and looking for a walking route, you can access the viewing platform via several hiking trails. The most popular trail starts from the car park at the bottom of the cliffs. Follow the well-marked paths leading upwards. The walk is steep in parts, so wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for changing weather. This hike is approximately 1.5 kilometers one way and might take around 30-45 minutes depending on your pace.
