If you are traveling by car from Slieve League, start by heading south on the R263 towards Teelin. Continue on the R263 for about 6 kilometers until you reach the junction with the R231. Turn right onto the R231 and drive for approximately 3 kilometers. Look for signs for St John's Point and turn left onto the Unnamed Road. After a short drive, you'll arrive at St John's Point Beach, where you can find parking available near the beach entrance.
Public Transportation
If you prefer to use public transportation, you can take a bus from Slieve League to Teelin. Check the local bus schedules for routes that operate between these areas, as services can vary. Once you reach Teelin, you may need to walk 2-3 kilometers towards the R231 junction. From there, you can either walk along the R231 or arrange for a taxi to take you to St John's Point Beach. Note that public buses may not run frequently, so plan your trip accordingly.
Walking
For those staying in Slieve League and looking for a scenic route, consider walking to St John's Point Beach. This will take approximately 1.5 hours on foot. Begin your walk by heading south on the R263, then take the R231 towards Teelin. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to St John's Point.
