From Sligo, head to the Sligo Bus Station located on Quay Street. Take the Bus Eireann Route 480 towards Ballina. Confirm with the driver that they will stop at Dunmoran Strand. The journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Dunmoran stop, disembark and walk towards the beach, which is just a short stroll away.

If you're feeling adventurous, consider renting a bicycle in Sligo. Start at the Sligo Tourist Information Centre on O'Connell Street and head west towards the R292 road. Follow the R292 for about 10 km, enjoying the scenic views of the countryside. Look for signs directing you to Dunmoran Strand. The ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on your speed. Once you reach Dunmoran, you'll find the beach just off the main road.

If you're up for a long walk, you can walk from Sligo to Dunmoran Strand. Begin at the Sligo Town Centre and head west along the R292. It is approximately a 10 km walk, which will take around 2-2.5 hours. As you walk, enjoy the beautiful landscape and look for signs pointing towards Dunmoran. Once you reach Dunmoran village, follow the signs leading you towards the beach.
