Walking
From Sligo Town Centre, head towards the Sligo Bus Station located on O'Connell Street. Once at the bus station, take the Bus Eireann service towards Donegal Town. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the correct times. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at Donegal Town, disembark at the main bus stop. From here, look for the sign indicating the direction to Fintra Beach. You will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles (2.4 km) along the R267 road towards Fintragh. The beach is well signposted, and you will reach Fintra Bay after about 30 minutes of walking.

Starting from Sligo, make your way to the Sligo Bus Station on O'Connell Street. Board the Bus Eireann service that goes to Donegal Town. The bus ride typically lasts around an hour. Upon arrival at the Donegal Town bus station, you can either take a taxi or use a local bus service towards Fintragh. If taking a taxi, simply inform the driver you want to go to Fintra Beach, and it should take around 10 minutes. If opting for the local bus, ensure you check the schedule as it may not run frequently. Walk the final stretch from the bus stop to Fintra Beach, which is a short walk of about 10 minutes.
