From Sligo Town, head to the nearest bus stop located on O'Connell Street. Look for the bus service that travels towards Ballisodare. You can take the Bus Eireann route number 477. The journey will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Get off at the Ballisodare stop. From there, walk towards N59, and you will find The Grotto on your right, just a short 5-minute walk. Follow the road as it curves, and you will see the park area.

Walking
If you prefer to walk from Sligo Town to The Grotto in Ballisodare, start at the Sligo Tourist Office located on O'Connell Street. Walk down O'Connell Street until you reach the junction with Quay Street. Turn right onto Quay Street and continue straight until you reach the river. Cross the bridge and continue along the path on the left side of the river. Follow the riverbank until you reach Ballisodare. The Grotto will be on your left side along the N59 road. This walk is approximately 4 km and will take around 50-60 minutes.

For a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from Sligo Town to The Grotto in Ballisodare. You can find taxi services around O'Connell Street or ask your accommodation to arrange one for you. The taxi ride will take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to mention that you want to go to The Grotto, located on the N59 in Kilboglashy.
