If you are driving from Doolin, head southeast on the R478 towards Lisdoonvarna. Continue on the R478 until you reach the junction with the N67. Turn left onto N67 and follow the road until you reach the roundabout. Take the first exit onto the N85 towards Ennis. Follow the N85 for about 20 km, then take the exit for the R476 toward Galway. Follow the R476 until you reach Galway city. Once in Galway, follow the signs for the River Corrib and Salmon Weir, located at The Weir Lodge, Earls Island. There is parking available near the location.

If you are using public transport, take a bus from your location in The Burren to Galway city. Bus companies such as Bus Éireann operate routes from places like Doolin and Lisdoonvarna to Galway. Once you arrive at Galway Bus Station, exit the bus station and walk towards the River Corrib. Follow the river until you reach Salmon Weir at The Weir Lodge, Earls Island. The walk will take approximately 20-30 minutes.
