Walking
From the town centre of Tralee, head towards the Tralee Town Park located on the east side of the town. Walk through the park towards the Kerry County Museum. Once you reach the museum, continue walking east toward the main road (Edward Street). Cross over to the opposite side of the road and head towards the bus stop near the Tralee bus station. From there, take a bus heading to Killarney, as the Gap of Dunloe is best reached from this direction. Make sure to inform the bus driver that you want to stop at the Gap of Dunloe. Once you arrive, follow the signs leading to the walking trails and enjoy the beautiful scenery!
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Tralee and set off towards the canal path that runs along the Tralee Bay. Follow the path until you reach the main road leading to Killarney. Turn right onto this road and continue cycling until you see signposts for Gap of Dunloe. The route is scenic and should take about 30-40 minutes. Remember to follow the road signs, and be cautious of traffic as you approach the Gap.
Public Transport
Make your way to the Tralee Bus Station located near the town centre. Look for buses heading to Killarney, as they frequently pass through. Purchase a ticket from the kiosk and board the bus.
