Getting There

• Bus

  From Waterford city center, head to the Bus Éireann station located on Merchants Quay. Take the bus number 360 towards Kilmeaden. The bus journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Kilmeaden stop, which is near Kilmeaden Train Station. From the bus stop, walk down the Main Street towards the train station, which is just a short 5-minute walk. Follow the signs towards Kilmeaden Train Station, located at Newtown, Kilmeaden, Co. Waterford, X91 DH93.

• Train

  Although the Waterford Suir Valley Railway does not have a direct train service from Waterford city, you can take the train from Waterford Railway Station to Waterford's nearest stop, which is in the direction of Kilmeaden. After arriving at Waterford Railway Station, check the schedule for trains heading towards Kilmeaden. Upon arrival at Kilmeaden station, exit the station and walk approximately 10 minutes to Kilmeaden Train Station, following the local roads towards Newtown.

• Taxi

  You can easily find a taxi in Waterford city center. Simply ask the driver to take you to Kilmeaden Train Station, located at Newtown, Kilmeaden, Co. Waterford, X91 DH93. The taxi ride will take about 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.

• Walking

  If you are up for a walk and are staying close to the area, you can walk to Kilmeaden Train Station. Starting from Waterford city center, head northwest towards the River Suir and follow the riverbank along the scenic paths. This walk will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes. Follow the signs towards Kilmeaden as you approach the outskirts of the city until you reach the train station.
