Walking
From the center of Westport, head south on Bridge Street towards the Westport Town Hall. Continue straight until you reach the junction with the N59. Turn left onto the N59 and walk along the footpath. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will see signs for Lough Corrib on your right. Follow the signs and take the path leading towards the lake, where you will arrive at Lough Corrib.
Bicycle
Starting from Westport Town Square, rent a bicycle from a local rental shop. Head south on Bridge Street and take the N59 road. Follow the road for about 2 kilometers, keeping an eye out for the signs directing you to Lough Corrib. Turn right when you see the signs and continue cycling until you reach the lake's edge.
Public Transport
From Westport Town Square, walk to the nearest bus stop on the N59. Take the bus headed towards Galway and inform the driver you want to get off at the stop for Lough Corrib. The bus ride will take around 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive, you can walk a short distance to the lake, following the signs.
