Walking
Start at the Ballasalla Railway Station. Exit the station and head north on the A27 road towards the village center. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto the A2 road towards Laxey. Follow the A2 for approximately 3 miles, enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way. As you approach Laxey, keep an eye out for signs directing you to the Great Laxey Wheel. Once you reach Laxey, follow the signs to Mines Rd, where the attraction is located. The Great Laxey Wheel will be visible from the road.

From Ballasalla, walk to the nearest bus stop located on the A27 road, just a short distance from the railway station. Catch the bus number 3 or 3A, which travels towards Laxey. It's a direct route, and the bus ride will take approximately 25-30 minutes. Once you arrive in Laxey, disembark at the Laxey Village stop. From there, it’s a 10-minute walk to the Great Laxey Wheel. Head east on the A2 road, then turn onto Mines Rd following the signs. The wheel is prominently marked and easy to find!

If you're feeling adventurous and have access to a bicycle, start at Ballasalla and head north on the A27.
