Bus
From Castletown, head to the nearest bus stop located on the main road, near the Town Hall. Take the bus number 3 or 3A towards Douglas. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Laxey stop, which is clearly marked. From the bus stop, walk towards Mines Road, and follow the signs for The Great Laxey Wheel, which is about a 10-minute walk uphill.

If you prefer to walk, start at Castletown Square. Head north on King Street, then turn right onto the A5 road. Continue straight until you reach the A2 road junction. Cross the A2 and follow the signs towards Laxey. The walk is about 4.5 miles and will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Be sure to enjoy the scenic views along the way!

You can also take a taxi from Castletown to The Great Laxey Wheel. Just ask your hotel or a local to call a taxi for you. The ride will take around 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic, and you will be dropped off directly at the entrance of the attraction.
