Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Laxey Village Centre, head west on the Main Road (A2) towards the Laxey River. After crossing the bridge, continue straight for about 300 meters until you reach the fork in the road. Take the left fork onto Mines Road. The Great Laxey Wheel will be approximately 500 meters ahead on your right. Look for the large wheel; it's hard to miss!

  • Bus

    From the Laxey Bus Station, take the bus that heads towards Ramsey. Ask the driver to drop you off at the stop nearest to Mines Road, which is usually a short distance from the Great Laxey Wheel. Once you get off, walk back along Mines Road for about 100 meters, and you will see the entrance to the attraction on your left.

  • Cycling

    If you have access to a bicycle, start at the Laxey Village Centre and ride south on the Main Road (A2). After crossing the bridge over the Laxey River, keep straight until you reach the fork in the road. Take the left onto Mines Road and continue cycling for about 500 meters. The Great Laxey Wheel will be on your right side. There are bike racks available for parking.
