Getting There

Walking
From the center of Bethlehem, head east towards Star Street (Star Street is close to the Church of the Nativity). Once you reach Star Street, continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Manger Square. At Manger Square, you will see signs directing you to the bus station. Walk towards the bus station located on the corner of Manger Square. Here, you can catch a shared taxi or bus heading towards Jerusalem. Make sure to tell the driver you want to go to Sweimeh. After about a 30-minute ride, you will be dropped off at Sweimeh, near the Dead Sea road. From there, follow the road signs for Wadi Mujib, which is about a 15-minute walk along the Dead Sea road.

Start at Manger Square in Bethlehem, where you will find shared taxis that can take you to Sweimeh. Look for the taxis that have 'Sweimeh' written on them. The fare is usually around 30-40 shekels. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Sweimeh, you can ask the driver to drop you off at the entrance to Wadi Mujib. If you prefer, you can also ask locals for directions to the entrance.
