Getting There

Walking
From the Ein Gedi Nature Reserve entrance, walk north along the main path towards the visitor center. Once you reach the visitor center, you can find signage pointing towards the trail leading to the Dead Sea. Follow the signs for about 15 minutes until you reach the edge of the cliffs, where you can see the Dead Sea. Continue along the path; it will lead you towards the scenic viewpoints that overlook the Dead Sea. Enjoy the views and take photos!

Bus
From Ein Gedi, walk to the nearest bus stop located near the entrance of the Ein Gedi Kibbutz. Take bus number 486 heading towards Jerusalem. The bus ride will take approximately 45 minutes. Disembark at the 'Mount Scopus' stop in Jerusalem. From there, follow the signs leading to the Mount Scopus area, which is about a 10-minute walk away.

If you are adventurous and enjoy hiking, you can start from the Ein Gedi Nature Reserve. Take the Wadi David trail which leads up towards the cliffs. Follow the trail for about 1-2 hours, depending on your pace. As you ascend, you will have beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Once you reach the top, you can continue towards Mount Scopus for additional breathtaking views.
