From the Ein Gedi Nature Reserve entrance, head towards the main road (Route 90). Walk north along Route 90 for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the Ein Gedi Kibbutz. Continue walking past the Kibbutz towards the bus stop located near the Kibbutz entrance. Take the bus heading towards Jerusalem. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off near Beit Hanina, Jerusalem.

From Ein Gedi, take the bus that goes to Jerusalem. You will need to transfer at the main bus station in Jerusalem. Once you arrive at the Jerusalem Central Bus Station, look for the bus that goes to Beit Hanina or take the light rail towards the Mount Herzl direction. Get off at the Beit Hanina stop, and from there, it is a short walk to the Ali ibn Abi Talib Mosque.
