Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Old City of Jerusalem, make your way to the Jaffa Gate. From the Jaffa Gate, head straight down Jaffa Street for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with King David Street. Turn left onto King David Street and continue walking for approximately 700 meters. You will pass by several shops and cafes along the way. Once you reach the intersection with Hillel Street, turn right and continue straight until you reach the entrance to the Temple Mount area.

    From the central bus station in Jerusalem, take bus number 1 or 3 towards the Old City. Get off at the stop near the Damascus Gate. From there, walk straight through the Old City towards the Western Wall. After visiting the Western Wall, proceed to the Al-Aqsa Mosque. The Cupola of the Chain is located within the Temple Mount area, to the east of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. You will need to enter through the security checkpoint at the Temple Mount entrance.
