From the Masada National Park entrance, follow the main path toward the visitor center. After about 10 minutes, you will reach the visitor center where you can find maps and information. Continue walking along the marked trails toward the archaeological site of Masada. Once you arrive at the site, head towards the cable car station. Instead of taking the cable car, continue on foot by following the hiking trail that leads up to the plateau. The hike takes approximately 30-45 minutes depending on your pace. Once you reach the top, follow the signs that lead you towards היכל מצדה / Desert Rocks, which is located on the southeastern side of the plateau, near the cliffs overlooking the Dead Sea. The walk from the cable car station to היכל מצדה will take about 10 minutes.
