Bus
To reach the Old City of Safed from Nazareth, start by heading to the Nazareth Central Bus Station located on Hashmura Street. Look for the bus to Safed, which is typically marked with its final destination on the front. The journey should take around 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Safed bus station, exit the bus and walk straight ahead on Ha'azmaut Street for about 10 minutes until you reach the Old City entrance, where you'll see signs directing you into the historic area.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Nazareth to Safed. You can find taxis near most hotels or call for one using a local taxi service. The drive will take approximately 40 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you off at the Old City entrance, where you can start exploring the historic sites.
Walking
If you are feeling adventurous, you can walk from Nazareth to Safed, which would take around 3 to 4 hours depending on your pace. Start by heading northwest on El-Butum Street, then follow the signs towards the main road leading you out of Nazareth. Continue on the road until you reach Safed. Once you get to Safed, look for the signs that direct you to the Old City. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated during your walk.
