From the center of Safed, head south on HaYarden Street towards the main road. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Route 87. At the intersection, turn right onto Route 87 and follow the signs toward Capernaum. The walk will take approximately 1 hour, covering about 5 kilometers. From Safed, walk to the nearest bus stop located at the Safed Central Bus Station. Look for buses that head toward Tiberias. Board the bus and tell the driver you are going to Capernaum. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Capernaum, you will see signs directing you to the main archaeological site.
