Getting There

    From any location in Alta Valtellina, head towards the town of Sondrio. If you're starting from Bormio, take the SS38 road south towards Sondrio. Once in Sondrio, follow signs for the SS36 towards Colico. After approximately 20 km, take the exit for Val Masino. Continue on the SP2 road, which leads directly into Val Masino. Drive until you reach the village of San Martino. From there, take the SP5 road towards the Cascata del Ferro. After about 8 km, you will arrive at the parking area near the waterfall. Note that parking may incur a small fee, typically around €5 for the day.

  • Public Transportation

    If you're using public transportation, take a train from Sondrio to Morbegno. From Morbegno, you can catch a local bus to Val Masino. The bus service is operated by Trasporti Pubblici di Valtellina and runs frequently during the day. Make sure to check the latest schedule. Once you arrive in Val Masino, you can either walk or take a taxi to the parking area near Cascata del Ferro. Please be aware that the bus ticket from Sondrio to Morbegno costs around €3, and the bus fare from Morbegno to Val Masino is approximately €2.
