Walking
From the central Piazza del Duomo in Amalfi, head east on Via Lorenzo d'Amalfi towards Via Giovanni Augustariccio. Continue straight onto Via delle Cartiere. After about 300 meters, you will reach the main road. Take the local bus from the Amalfi bus station towards Naples. The bus ride will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Once you arrive at the Naples bus terminal, exit the station and head towards Via Giuseppe Garibaldi. From there, take the Metro Line 1 from Garibaldi Station towards Piscinola. Get off at the Università Station. Exit the station and walk towards Via Domenico Silvio. Continue straight until you reach Via Luigi Settembrini. The Donnaregina Contemporary Art Museum - Madre Museum will be on your left.

After exploring the museum, return to the Università Metro Station. Take the Metro Line 1 towards Garibaldi Station, then transfer to the Circumvesuviana train at Garibaldi Station heading back towards Sorrento. Get off at the Amalfi station. This will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
