Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at the Amalfi Cathedral (Cattedrale di Sant'Andrea) in the center of Amalfi. From the Cathedral, head east on Via dei Pastai until you reach the junction with Via Lorenzo d'Amalfi. Turn left onto Via Lorenzo d'Amalfi. Continue straight until you reach the bus stop at the end of the street, where you can catch the SITA bus heading towards Salerno.

    Once at the bus stop, board the SITA bus (look for the sign indicating the direction to Salerno). The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. You will want to get off at the 'Capaccio Paestum' stop. Be sure to listen for the announcement or ask the driver to alert you when you reach your stop.

    After getting off the bus, you will be on Via Magna Graecia. From here, head southeast on Via Magna Graecia. Walk straight for about 15 minutes, passing local shops and houses, until you see the Santuario di Santa Venere on your left. The entrance will be clearly marked.
