Car
If you are driving, take the SS16 highway towards Castellana Grotte. Follow the signs for Castellana Grotte and exit at 'Castellana Grotte'. Once you enter the town, continue straight until you reach Piazza Franco Anelli. The Grotte di Castellana is located directly at this square. Parking is available nearby.
Bus
For public transportation, you can take a bus from Bari to Castellana Grotte. Buses operate frequently from the Bari Centrale bus station. Look for the bus line that says 'Castellana Grotte' and board the bus. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at Castellana Grotte bus station, it is a short 10-minute walk to Piazza Franco Anelli. Just head northeast on Via Putignano, then turn right onto Via F. M. S. and continue straight until you reach the square.
Train
If you prefer traveling by train, take a train from Bari to Putignano. Trains run regularly from Bari Centrale to Putignano and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Putignano train station, you can take a local bus or a taxi to Castellana Grotte. If you choose to walk, it’s about a 30-minute walk; just head south towards Castellana Grotte, following the signs. Once you arrive in Castellana Grotte, head to Piazza Franco Anelli to find Grotte di Castellana.
