Bus
From the center of Arezzo, head to the bus station (Stazione delle Autolinee) located just north of the main train station. You can get there by walking along Via Roma, which will take about 10 minutes. Look for the bus lines that go towards Tuoro sul Trasimeno. Purchase a ticket from the ticket counter or vending machine. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Tuoro sul Trasimeno, ask for directions to Castello di Montegualandro, which is about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop.
Train and Bus
Start at Arezzo's train station (Stazione di Arezzo). Purchase a train ticket to Terontola-Cortona. The train ride will take around 20 minutes. After arriving at Terontola station, exit and look for the bus stop outside the station. Catch a bus to Tuoro sul Trasimeno. The bus journey takes about 15 minutes. Once in Tuoro, you can walk approximately 15 minutes to Castello di Montegualandro, which is located slightly uphill.
Walking
If you are already in Tuoro sul Trasimeno, from the main square (Piazza della Repubblica), head north along Via Roma for about 10 minutes. Continue straight as you reach Via del Castello, which will lead you directly to the entrance of Castello di Montegualandro. The walk is scenic and offers beautiful views of the surrounding area.
