Purchase a ticket from the kiosk or on the bus. Board the bus heading towards Rignano sull'Arno and enjoy the scenic ride. You will need to get off at the stop 'Volognano'. From there, it's a short walk of about 10 minutes to Castello di Volognano. Head southeast on Via Volognano, following the signs for the castle, until you arrive at your destination.

Head to the Arezzo train station, 'Stazione di Arezzo'. Purchase a ticket to Rignano sull'Arno. Once you arrive at Rignano sull'Arno train station, exit the station and catch a local bus (Sita) that goes to 'Volognano'. The bus stop is right outside the train station. Get off at the 'Volognano' stop. From there, walk approximately 10 minutes southeast on Via Volognano until you reach the Castello di Volognano.

If you are feeling adventurous and want to walk, you can start from the center of Arezzo. Head towards the southeastern part of the city, following Via Roma and then Via dell'Episcopio. Continue on Via della Libertà, which will lead you out of the city. Follow the signs towards Rignano sull'Arno. The total walking distance is about 12 kilometers and will take approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
