Take the bus to Cortona; the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once in Cortona, walk towards Via di Fortezza. The Fortress of Girifalco is located on a hill; you will need to walk uphill for about 15-20 minutes. Follow the signs leading to the fortress, and enjoy the beautiful views along the way.

From Arezzo, go to the main bus terminal near the train station. Purchase a ticket to Cortona (make sure to check the bus schedule for times). The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Cortona, exit the bus and head towards Via di Fortezza. The fortress is about a 20-minute walk from where the bus drops you off. Look for signs directing you to the fortress.

From Arezzo, take a train to the nearby town of Camucia-Cortona. The train ride lasts about 15 minutes. Once you arrive at Camucia-Cortona station, exit and look for signs directing you to the local bus stop or follow the walking path to Cortona. If walking, it will take approximately 30 minutes to reach the town. Once in Cortona, navigate to Via di Fortezza and follow the signs to the Fortress of Girifalco, which is set up on a hill.
