Bus
From the city center of Perugia, head to the 'Piazza Partigiani' bus station. Take the bus line E, which goes directly to Cortona. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Cortona bus station, exit the bus and walk towards the main road (Via Nazionale) for about 5 minutes until you reach the intersection with Via S. Margherita. Turn left onto Via S. Margherita, and the Basilica of Saint Margaret will be on your right.

From Perugia's main train station (Stazione di Perugia), board a train heading towards Arezzo. The train journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Arezzo train station, transfer to a local bus or taxi that goes to Cortona. The bus ride will take around 20 minutes. After reaching Cortona, walk to Via S. Margherita, which is a short 10-minute walk from the bus stop. The Basilica of Saint Margaret will be located on your left.

If you are near the historic center of Perugia, you can take a scenic walk to the bus station (Piazza Partigiani) and then follow the bus instructions provided above. The walk to the bus station will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Alternatively, if you are already in Cortona, you can walk to the Basilica of Saint Margaret from the main square (Piazza della Repubblica) by heading south on Via Nazionale and turning left onto Via S. Margherita. The walk will take about 10-15 minutes.
