Walking
From the Arezzo train station, exit and head straight down Viale Roma. Continue on this road until you reach Piazza della Libertà. At the square, take a left on Via Garibaldi. Follow this street until you reach the intersection with Via Crispi. Turn right onto Via Crispi, and walk until you reach the entrance of the Arezzo Cathedral (Cattedrale di Arezzo). From here, take Via Roma, which will lead you to the main square, Piazza Grande. Once you are at Piazza Grande, take the steps leading down to Via dei Pileati. Continue straight until you reach the end of the street, then turn left onto Corso Italia. Walk until you see the signs for the train station, which will lead you to the bus terminal. From the bus terminal, take a bus to Siena; the journey takes about 1 hour. Upon arrival in Siena, follow the signs towards the city center and walk towards Piazza del Campo, which is located in the heart of the city.
Public Transport (Bus)
At Arezzo train station, head to the bus terminal located just outside the station. Look for the bus that goes to Siena (Line 1). Purchase a ticket at the kiosk or on the bus. Board the bus, and enjoy the scenic ride to Siena, which takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at Siena bus station, exit and head towards the city center. Follow the signs leading to Piazza del Campo, which should be about a 15-minute walk straight through the old town area. Make sure to keep an eye out for the iconic towers that will guide you towards the square.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Arezzo to Siena. You can find taxis outside the Arezzo train station. Simply tell the driver you want to go to Piazza del Campo in Siena. The drive will take approximately 1 hour, depending on traffic. This option is more expensive but convenient, especially if you are traveling with luggage or prefer not to navigate public transport.
