Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the Arezzo train station, exit the station and head straight down Viale della Repubblica. Continue walking for about 600 meters until you reach Piazza della Libertà. Here, you will find the impressive Palazzo del Comune. From this square, take Via Roma on your right. Walk along this street, which becomes Via Garibaldi, and continue until you see a sign for 'Piazza Grande'. Follow the signs, and after a short walk of around 400 meters, you will arrive at the beautiful Piazza Grande.

Public Transport (Bus)
From Arezzo train station, head to the bus stop located right outside the station. Look for the bus line that goes towards 'Centro'. Take the bus and get off at 'Piazza della Libertà'. From there, you can either walk directly to Piazza Grande, which is a 10-minute walk, or catch a local bus heading towards Piazza Grande. If walking, follow Via Roma, then Via Garibaldi, and look for the signs leading to Piazza Grande.

If you are already in the historic center (Centro Storico) of Arezzo, make your way to Via dei Pileati. Walk down this street until you reach Piazza Grande. This is a direct route and will take approximately 5-10 minutes. Look for the large buildings and the beautiful architecture that will guide you towards the square.
