From Arezzo, first head to the Arezzo railway station (Stazione di Arezzo) by walking north on Corso Italia. Once at the station, take a train to Stia. The train journey will take around 20-30 minutes. When you arrive at Stia station, exit and walk to the nearby bus stop. Take the bus line towards Pratovecchio and get off at 'Pratovecchio Stia, Via di Pieve di Romena'. San Pietro a Romena is just a 10-minute walk east along Via di Pieve di Romena from the bus stop.
