Foot
From the center of Assisi, head east on Via San Francesco towards Piazza del Comune. Continue straight until you reach Via Portica, where you will turn left. Follow this road until you reach the end of the street, then turn right onto Via della Rocca. Continue up this hill until you reach the top where you will find Rocca Maggiore. From here, follow the signs to Lago di Corbara. It will be a scenic walk of about 1.5 hours, taking you through beautiful landscapes.
Public Transport
From Assisi, walk to the Assisi train station, which is located south of the city center. Once at the station, take a train towards Terni. The journey should take around 20 minutes. Upon arriving at Terni, exit the station and look for the local buses heading to 'Lago di Corbara.' Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as they may not run frequently. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes.
