From the Basilica of San Francesco, head southeast on Viale Giosuè Carducci towards Via San Francesco. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Via Frate Elia. Turn left onto Via Frate Elia, which will lead you down a gentle slope. Follow this street as it curves right and merges into Via Sant'Antonio. Keep walking straight until you see the signs for Piazza del Comune. The square will be ahead, marked by the impressive Tempio di Minerva.

Starting from the Assisi train station, exit onto Via della Repubblica and turn left. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Corso Mazzini. Turn right onto Corso Mazzini and continue walking. This street will eventually lead you directly into Piazza del Comune, where you can enjoy the beautiful architecture and atmosphere.
