Getting There

    Start at the Basilica di San Francesco, which is a central and well-known landmark in Assisi. From the Basilica, head east on Via San Francesco until you reach Piazza del Comune. At Piazza del Comune, you will see the Temple of Minerva. Continue straight on Corso Giuseppe Mazzini for about 400 meters. As you approach the end of this street, take a left onto Via S. Pietro. Follow this road, which winds slightly, and in about 10 minutes, you will arrive at Piazza S. Pietro. The Chiesa di San Pietro will be located at the square's edge.

    If you are near the Rocca Maggiore, exit the fortress and head down the hill. Follow the signs towards the city center and make your way to the main street, Via San Francesco.
