If you are starting from the Basilica di San Francesco, exit the basilica and head down the hill towards the main road (Via San Francesco). Turn left onto Via San Francesco and continue straight. You will pass several shops and cafes. After about 5 minutes, you will reach Piazza Inferiore di S. Francesco. The entrance to the piazza is at number 5, where you will find the beautiful lower basilica.

From the central Piazza del Comune, head towards Via Bartolomeo Caporali. Walk straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with Via San Francesco. Turn right onto Via San Francesco and continue for about another 5 minutes. You will arrive at Piazza Inferiore di S. Francesco, located at number 5.

If you are near the Rocca Maggiore, make your way down towards the town center. Head down Via Rocca and turn left onto Via San Francesco. Continue walking straight for approximately 15 minutes, and you will arrive at Piazza Inferiore di S. Francesco, which will be on your right at number 5.

From the Assisi train station, exit and follow the signs towards the city center. Take the bus or walk to the main entrance of Assisi, which is about a 30-minute uphill walk. Once you reach Piazza del Comune, follow the directions above to reach Piazza Inferiore di S. Francesco.
