From there, follow the signs that indicate 'Piazza Inferiore di San Francesco' which will guide you down a pathway. The path will take you to the lower square of the Basilica of San Francesco.

If you are starting from the central Piazza del Comune, head southeast on Via S. Francesco. This street will take you directly towards the Basilica di San Francesco.
