Pasta and Tiramisu class with Mamma in Spoleto
Highlight of our trip
We booked a private cooking class in at an Umbrian farmhouse and it became the best part of the trip. Our hostess Claudia, and her husband Francesco, welcomed us into her real kitchen and patiently walked us through handmade local pasta with sauce, lentils, tiramisu, and bruschetta with two different toppings. We are both experienced cooks but learned details we wouldn't get from cookbooks or cooking shows. Lunch was everything we had cooked, plus local wine and real conversation on a variety of topics despite the slight language barrier. We left with handwritten recipes and memories of a lovely time in a real Italian home.

Go take some great wine and food
Excellent presentation by Francesco on growing, harvest, making and bottling wine. Tasted 6 very good wines accompanied by delicious tastes of olive oil, meats and cheeses. An excellent addition to our tour of umbria
