Public Transport
Start from Bergamo's main train station, Stazione di Bergamo. Take the bus line 1 (direction: 'Orio al Serio Airport') and get off at 'Bergamo, Stazione FS'. From there, transfer to the train towards Milan. The train ride to Milano Centrale takes approximately 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Milano Centrale, follow the signs to the Metro. Take the Metro Line 3 (Yellow Line) towards 'Comasina' and get off at the 'Duomo' station. From Duomo, it’s a 15-minute walk to Brera. Head north on Via Torino, then turn right onto Via della Moscova. Continue straight until you reach Brera, located in the artsy district of Milan.
Walking
If you are in central Bergamo (Città Alta), walk down to the funicular station and take the funicular down to Città Bassa. From the funicular exit, head towards Viale Vittorio Emanuele II and walk straight for about 15 minutes until you reach the bus terminal at Stazione di Bergamo. From there, follow the above instructions to take the train to Milano Centrale and then the Metro to Brera.
Taxi or Rideshare
You can also take a taxi or a rideshare service (like Uber) from anywhere in Bergamo directly to Brera in Milan. This option is more comfortable and straightforward, especially if you are traveling with luggage. The ride will take approximately 50 minutes depending on traffic.
