Start at Bergamo Train Station (Stazione di Bergamo). Purchase a ticket for the train to Varenna-Esino (make sure to check the schedule). The journey takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at Varenna-Esino station, exit the station and follow the signs to the ferry terminal.

At the Varenna ferry terminal, take the ferry towards Bellagio. The ferry ride offers beautiful views of Lake Como and lasts about 15 minutes. Disembark at the Perledo stop, which is the nearest stop for Castello di Vezio.

Walking
From the Perledo ferry dock, head up the hill towards Via del Castellano. It’s a steep walk, so be prepared for some elevation gain. Follow Via del Castellano for about 15-20 minutes until you reach the entrance of Castello di Vezio. Enjoy the scenic views along the way!

Alternatively, from Varenna-Esino station, you can take a local bus towards Perledo. Check the bus schedule as it may not be frequent. Get off at a stop near Castello di Vezio and walk the remaining distance to the castle.
