Walking
If you are starting from the Bergamo train station (Stazione di Bergamo), exit the station and head towards Viale Papa Giovanni XXIII. Walk straight along this road for about 1 kilometer until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Via Roma. Continue on Via Roma until you reach the junction with Via Garibaldi. Turn left onto Via Garibaldi and walk for another 500 meters. You will come to a small square, Piazza Mazzini. The Monument to Garibaldi is located at the center of this square.

From the Bergamo train station, take bus line 1 (bus stop is right outside the station) towards 'Bergamo - Stazione Funicolare'. After about 10 minutes, get off at the stop 'Piazza Matteotti'.
